  1. This calculator performs calculations based on the data applicable to the last update time displayed on the front page. The update time and data are dependable on different factors, such as the time when the auto-fuel prices and discounts information are available to the Council, the changes involved and the relevant verification work. The calculation results may not reflect the immediate purchase at the petrol filling stations.
  2. The calculation results are for consumers' reference only. The actual payment charged and bonus points offered by respective oil company at the petrol filling station at the time of purchase shall prevail.
  3. “Total Payment after Discount” and “Price per Litre after Discount” shown on this page have included duty.
  4. This calculator performs calculations based on the following methods:
    • Basic Situation: the calculation is based on the "Estimated Expenditure (Dollar Amount)" or "Estimated Filling Amount (Volume)" inputted by the consumer. "Estimated Expenditure" or "Estimated Filling Amount" will be displayed as "Total Payment after Discount" or "Total Volume" in the calculation result respectively. If the "Estimated Expenditure" or "Estimated Filling Amount" inputted by the consumer is lower than the designated minimum spending amount or minimum filling amount specified by the terms of the relevant discount/promotion option as chosen at step “4. Type of Discount and Promotion”, no calculation result will be displayed.
    • The Most Favourable Spending Situation: the calculation is based on the designated minimum spending amount or minimum filling amount specified by the terms of the relevant discount/promotion option. The respective designated minimum spending amount or minimum filling amount will be displayed in the calculation result as "Total Payment after Discount" or "Total Volume", and that the "Total Payment after Discount" or "Total Volume" will be less than the "Estimated Expenditure" or "Estimated Filling Amount" inputted by the consumer respectively. To avoid consumers being confused by overloading calculation results, the results calculated in this way will be filtered according to the "Price per Litre after Discount", and only the most favourable result with respect to the "Price per Litre after Discount" of each selected oil company will be displayed. Such results are shown in green frame. (Note: If the "Estimated Expenditure" or "Estimated Filling Amount" inputted by the consumer is equal to the designated minimum spending amount or the minimum fuel filling amount specified by the terms of the relevant discount/promotion option, the calculator will only display the calculation result according to The Basic Situation but not the result of The Most Favourable Spending Situation)
    • Self-input Voucher: the calculation is based on the inputted "Specified Spending" (refer to the "The Most Favourable Spending Situation" above) where the results will be shown in green box.
  5. The calculation results of this calculator are rounded off to 2 decimal places, which may be different from the billing of individual oil companies with slight discrepancy.
  6. The calculation results are only displayed based on the data available to the Council and the data inputted by consumers, which may not represent all the discounts offered by oil companies. For details about oil companies' discounts, please visit the "Discount and Promotion" page.
